Today is the 18th annual race for the cure in Detroit...last year Quinn was a tiny participant, measuring about the size of a sesame seed in my belly, he was also our well kept secret! Fast forward one year, wow how times have changed! It's a great morning for his first 5k!
We will be walking in memory of Diane Vickman, who was one strong figther!
no rainout for this hike, we had beautiful weather and enjoyed the great outdoors! Quinn got some quality time with his buddy Trey while we all had a BBQ, yum! Soon enough we'll have baby **girl??** McNug join the gang, who will undoubtedly be wooed by the boys!
Quinn has a new sleeping aid at daycare, helping to avoid pulling his new move...which is hooking his finger through the pull on his pacifier, pulling it out, then crying to get someone to come put it back in! ahhh, genius!
'Moooom, Quinn's pushing me!'.... 'This kid is always smiling....so annoying...look at me, I'm Quinn and I'm so cute...'' 'Seriously makes me want to punch him...'
thanks to Kerryn (our guest blogger) for the hilarious commentary!
we couldn't hack the rain, yes, we're wimps! we left in the 5th inning and instead watched the game from the comfort of the couch! nice win for the tigers!
I started out the day with flowers and an awesome homemade card from Quinn (with the help of his awesome teachers), then had a great breakfast from chef Pete! Later we headed to Astoria bakery for ice cream and a walk (& many pics) on the riverfront...it was a great first mother's day!
